The new Shanghai Disney Resort is due to open in the Spring of 2016 while more than 150 heavy polluting enterprises near its location will be closing by the end of the same year, report the Shanghai Daily.The closures are meant to provide a better and cleaner environment for the new tourist site in Pudong, said officials.The Shanghai Daily reports:“ The Shanghai Economy and Informatization Commission said the 153 industrial enterprises involved, located on the east side of Pudong's Shenjiang Road, are assessed as heavy polluters and heavy energy users with low efficiency. They are located in the villages of Jiebang, Qigan, Beizhuang and Wanan — some just five kilometers from the resort.The commission was unable to directly name any of the enterprises which will be closing; however, they were able to confirm that they were all within industries such as chemical engineering, machinery, construction materials, and steel production.
This area of Pudong is not the only one closing down polluters, with Fengxian and Jinshan districts also closing many other enterprises at the end of this year.
According to a report released by the commission last week, 73 companies and factories around the city were ordered to shut down or move out of Shanghai in the first half of the year.
The city government is currently working on an industrial restructuring program which compensates such enterprises to relocate. It's goal is to cut coal consumption by 40,000 tons each year.

在《上海日报》的报道中写道：“ 上海经济和信息化委员会称，此次关闭的企业涉及到153家工业企业，位于浦东申江路东侧，属于高能耗、重污染、低效率企业。这些企业位于界浜村、旗杆村、北庄村和瓦南村境内，有些距离迪斯尼只有5公里左右。
委员会没有具体给出将要关闭的企业名称，不过他们强调这些企业都属于化工、机械制造、建筑材料和钢铁生产类企业。
除了浦东这块区域采取了关闭污染型企业的措施，奉贤区和金山区在今年年底也将关闭多家类似企业。
根据委员会上周发布的报告显示，2016年前半年，上海市区周围的73家企业和工厂将被下令关闭或移出上海。
市政府部门目前正在研究工业结构改革方案，力图重新安置上述类型的工厂和企业。这个方案的目标是每年减少40000吨煤的使用。
